Lana O’Neill is an activist and community worker. Before moving to Bredasdorp in 2013, she worked with street children in Vredendal. In 2015, her NPO “HeavenlyPromise48” (est. 2005), successfully applied for a tender to establish a safe house for women and their dependent children in Bredasdorp. At the safe house, Lana and her team offer preventative programs, crisis intervention and shelter to abused women. Thus far, she and her team have assisted over 500 women.
