Karabo van Heerden was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2016. She has appeared in the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, several divisions of the High Court, as well as the Labour Court, CCMA and in arbitration proceedings. Her areas of practice include media law, intellectual property, administrative law, environmental law, public interest, mining law and general commercial and contractual law. Prior to joining the bar, Karabo practised as an attorney at Willem De Klerk Attorneys specialising in media law. She holds an LLB, Postgraduate Diploma in IP and communications law and an LLM in administrative law from the University of Witwatersrand.
